For a recent small design project I created 4 simple SketchUp models with various paint schemes. This video explores the models to give an idea of the elements included to aid in choosing the best paint layout scheme.
Modeling Methods
This video shows the steps I used to create the models for this Digital Jobsite post. Using paint sample chips to pick colors and various drawing shortcuts to speed up the process it was easy to draw the various layout/color schemes to compare the different ideas.
Confident Choices
Using these models it was easier to make a confident design choice before ever dipping a brush. I hope this tutorial gives you some ideas for planning your design projects… as for the actual painting, well, you’re on your own on that part.
