Lightweight Concrete Countertop: Spray the First Layer, Pack the Second Layer

Learn how to build up the concrete in the finished mold using a spray gun and your gloved hands

The first layers of concrete create the finished surface of the counter. A thin mix is sprayed onto the form, followed by a thicker mix that’s applied by hand. The thicker mix is fortified with fiberglass fibers that give the concrete its strength.
