Build a Tool Shed Series: Installing Lap and Shingle Siding
In this episode of How to Build a Shed learn two sure-fire techniques to side an exterior wall with lap siding or shingle siding
Installing siding onto a wall is more than overlaying shingles on a wall and nailing them down. There are many varieties that require different treatments. Also, when dealing with doors and windows, the siding must be adjusted accordingly as to not get in the way. Rick gives close-up demonstrations of what he does to properly shingle walls—both gable-ended and not gable-ended—as well as how to shingle around windows and doors as to properly defend these components from inclement weather.
