Build a Tool Shed Series: Shelving and Storage Options
Rick describes his favorite choices for site-built shelving and other ways to make the most of your shed
When using your shed for storage, it’s important to be creative to maximize storage space. Watch Rick show different ways you can create shelf space out of scrap wood to store things you might use once a year, or every day. Screwing bits of scrap cut into a triangle all the way up the corners of the shed is one easy way Mike allows for extra storage space. Or, laying a shelf from one gable end to the the next truss creates an attic-like area that can store items you may only need once or twice a year.
