If you’re on the job and you break a drill bit, you could stop everything to go down to the hardware store and get a new one, but there’s a better way…

…I know–we’ve already done this*–but as it turns out, there’s a better better way.

Now every single one of these videos that we present to you has an area where you can make comments, and some of them are really constructive. Ike22 sent us a refinement to this tip that’s so good we’re going to share it with you.

What Ike does is he takes his side cutters that he’ll use to remove the head of a nail so it can become a drill bit, and he places a reare-earth magnet on each side of the cutters. Now watch what happens when we cut the head off of this nail. The head did not scatter across the room. It doesn’t land on his customer’s floor where he can’t find it, but they will, eventually making a very expensive ding in that floor.

You can probably apply this tip in lots of different ways, and if you come up with one, let us know.
