Project House: Wood-Floor Repairs, Ep. 4 – Installation
Justin learns how to fit and install the replacement floor boards that complete this restoration
Scott Sidler teaches Justin about his selection method for choosing boards and guides Justin through the installation. Along the way, Justin learns how important a beater block is to the installation and learns a new trick for stubborn boards. After several hours of cutting boards, beating them in place, and nailing them in with finish nails, they reach the last board, which Scott alters to fit the last opening. He cuts the backside of the groove off so he can sneak it in place and nail it off with a row of finish nails.

Do you putty over the face nails after sanding?
Excellent video!! I would love to see something as detailed on rebuilding wooden stairs and stair rails.
