Here is a beautiful sight that orients everyone who comes down the stairs at this house designed by Eric Chase Architects of Brooksville, Maine. The stair rail is made of mahogany and was built by Dan Bloomer Stairbuilding. The compass rose in the floor was made by Oshkosh Design and consists of a combination of White Oak, Santos Mahogany, African Mahogany and Maple inlays. The overall effect is very pleasing and the combination of woods seems just right. Plus, you always know which direction you’re headed!
