Last year I revisited this contemporary vacation home on Lake Champlain to photograph spaces that I had shot many years ago for the builder. I remembered many angles that I had photographed and finding something new to shoot was my biggest challenge. The kitchen and surrounding spaces looked just as I remembered them. My favorite part of the house is the kitchen adorned in playful, colorful wall tiles and beautiful open shelving. The durable cement counters, maple block top, cork floor and custom island with red wainscoting still looked fresh and appealing, especially on a summer morning. I quietly took the shot before many of the family members woke up for the day.
