Just Big Enough

I photographed Milford Cushman and Terri Gregory’s Contemporary Camp in the Woods – Raven Beach last summer. Our warmer season is short in Vermont, so their beautiful screen porch with its polycarbonate roof completes and satisfies the yearning for both prospect and refuge at the same time. It offers protection from the bugs and heat while allowing for a direct connection between the outdoors and the indoors. The rest of the home was built with this idea in mind as well, accomplished with a Vermont Energy Efficiency 5 Star Plus rating. All the lighting seen in the picture uses either low or line voltage Philips LED lamping.
