It’s unusual to have stairs be a focal point in a room but these are definitely unique. The contractor built a custom open stringer metal stair with maple treads and a fir handrail to connect to a third floor living space which contains a guest suite. A soft neutral color palette makes the metalwork stand out and appear to be floating.
