This queen Anne Victorian is a “potentially historic structure” in a historic district. With all this potential the only way to install a garage, while complying with the limits of the code, was to demount the façade and install a shaped, hinged steel frame. The facade was then reapplied to the new structure, a fully operable bay window that conceals a one car garage.

It's a shame to destroy the interior of a historic home but a terrible sin to alter the exterior. This homeowner was considerate not to upset the streetscape of the neighborhood. Very unique!
