If you’re searching for a better-looking shower drain without the complexity and expense of a linear drain, you might consider the new Tile-In Drain from Sioux Chief. Made with a built-in clamping collar so that it can be integrated into the shower’s waterproofing liner, the stainless-steel drain is height-adjustable and accommodates tile or stone up to 1/2 in. thick. The tile is adhered to the drain insert with the same mortar that’s used for setting the rest of the shower floor. The drain is available in PVC and ABS versions and sells for between $50 and $75.
