You could probably put this de-nailer tool to good use on new construction, but if you’re performing deconstruction tasks for restoration and reuse projects, the Mayhew Pro NailBoss, an attachment for an air hammer, might be a must-have.
The NailBoss, which is made is the U.S., works in three steps. First, you insert the tool’s nosepiece over a bent nail’s point and shank and pry the nail straight if needed. Featuring a lifetime warranty, the NailBoss is built tough enough to pry nail after nail. Next, pull the trigger and the nail will be driven out. You can then finish the job with a claw hammer or pry bar.
Mayhew Pro states the NailBoss can safely remove nails or staples up to .25″ diameter and that the recommended operating range is 60 psi to 90 psi.
