Pools can be a breathtaking addition to a home and they can be a topic of heated debate. While most agree pools are enjoyable on a hot summer day, there are plenty of people convinced nothing makes a house unsellable quite like a pool. It’s hard to tell what’s legend and what’s cold hard fact, and maybe it really doesn’t matter. If it’s hot where you live and you like the idea of lounging in or around a pool, you’ll want to check out the articles below.
The following posts are all submissions from Fine Homebuilding members. Up first, Brandon Diem shows off a pool house and pergola that, as he put, is designed to be an oasis. The end result is certainly beautiful. Pool, House & Pergola

If the pool is well maintained there should be no reason for the future buyers to have doubts about their new home, just the opposite! My friend works as a broker and she said something very interesting - interest in buying houses with pools is...seasonal! Which makes no sense for me.
If the pool is properly cared for, the prospective homeowners should feel confident in their new property. In fact, my friend who works as a broker shared an intriguing observation with me: interest in purchasing homes with pools appears to vary seasonally, which I find puzzling.
