California is experiencing such a significant drought that mandatory water restrictions are in place. The state says the goal is reduce overall water usage by 25 percent. MTI Baths has taken advantage of its ability to customize its designs and has responded with design changes that are engineered to reduce water consumption.
MTI can change the height of the overflow to significantly reduce the amount of water used in a tub. MTI states the majority of its tubs can be reconfigured with a lower overflow location.
Smaller tub designs also mean less water, of course, and MTI added it can offer consumers over 20 compact design tub models.
MTI also takes into consider the location of whirlpool and air bath jets. By positioning these either low or flush with the tub floor, in the case of the air bath, less water is needed.
