You probably own a multi-tool, which are part pliers and part “Swiss Army” knife. And, you are certainly familiar with Vise-Grip locking pliers. You probably own a few. Combining those two items, the new Irwin 5WR Locking Multi-Pliers takes 5 in. Vise-Grip pliers and adds a fold-out knife and fold-out screwdriver.
Where these differ from what you’ve seen before is that, with the exception of the lower, pivoting handle, the pliers are the same as other Vise-Grip pliers, so real world functionality hasn’t been compromised for the sake of gadget adding. Where most function-loaded multi-tools can do a little bit of everything poorly, the Locking Multi-Pliers still work as well as any other locking pliers. The pliers are constructed out of the same heat-treated alloy steel as other Vise-Grip pliers.
The fold-out knife blade is stainless steel, has a clip point shape, locks in place with a simple frame-style locking mechanism, and has a 2 1/4 in. cutting edge with partial serrations.
A double-ended slotted and Phillips bit is included, but the fold-out screwdriver will work with just about any 1/4-in. bit.

It might be interesting to compare the actual utility of the Vise-Grip offering to the "original," the Leatherman Crunch.
That's a great idea. I am fairly certain, however, that the price difference will be significant
