Electric chainsaws are nothing new. DeWalt, however, has a new battery-operated version that offers serious performance potential. The key to this chainsaw being the real deal and suitable for pro-level work is that the brushless motor is combined with a 36 volt lithium ion battery. DeWalt has dubbed the battery the 40V Max due to its 40 volt maximum voltage at full charge before use. That’s probably twice the voltage you’re used to wielding in a handheld tool.
While all three are 40V Max models, DeWalt has three size batteries: 4.0 Ah, 6.0 Ah, and 7.5 Ah. According to DeWalt, these deliver up to 70, 100, or 125 cuts, respectively. Equipped with the 4.0 Ah battery, the saw weighs only 12.3 lb. The 6.0 Ah battery brings the total weight to 13.5 lb. The 7.5 Ah combo tips the scales only slightly more at 13.6 lb.
The brushless motor produces 7500 rpm and a chain speed of 50 ft/s.
The saw is fitted with a 16″ bar and a 3/8″ pitch chain, both by Oregon. The schain design features Oregon’s LubriLink and Lubriwell auto-oiling for continuous lubrication. The saw also features tool-free tension adjustments.

This is a battery powered device. Once charged it can be used till the charge lasts. It can be moved easily due to the absence of cord. However, it is not suitable for prolonged usage
DeWalt is a good brand for power tools. I also recommended Dawalt chainsaw in my blog post, see my blog post: https://toolsarchive.com/best-chainsaws-for-cutting-firewood/
