If you need to run two air tools off of single-port air compressor, you could buy a splitter, but there’s a better way.
Carl McFarland Jr. of Berkeley, Calif., used to always use a store-bought splitter, but after it was constantly borrowed and misplaced, he outfitted his air hose with a built-in splitter that is always ready to accept another hose. Watch the video to find out how it’s assembled.

I use a 1/4'' iron pipe "T" fitted with 2 disconnect couplers and 1 nipple. You can put it at the compressor or on the end of an air hose.
@oldhand, that works, but does not address the issue of others "borrowing" the splitter. This solution clamps the assembly into the hose so it's always available.
You need to find out who is "borrowing" your stuff and kick the crap out of em.
