More efficient use of the existing space in the kitchen shown here was accomplished without increasing the square footage. The white customized built-ins create a clean and light feeling and maximize the storage space available. The wooden floors, seating areas and red accents add warmth to the space. The countertops look like marble, but are actually serpentinite. Serpentinite is a rock composed mainly of serpentine group minerals. Spending time in this calming, comforting kitchen was a treat. From time to time during this shoot I was distracted by the beautiful mountain views through the windows above the sink, and by the many busy cardinals at the feeders.
