The plan was to photograph this bedroom early morning, but as the sun was going down while setting up for the shoot, we saw how beautiful the light was coming in from the west. The room exudes a cool simplicity with a soft grey polished concrete floor with radiant heat and large Marvin Ultimate windows which flood the space with light through the seasons. Located on the lower garden level of a modern farmhouse in central Vermont, the master suite connects directly to a large stone patio that takes in the panorama. Simple and elegant, the design honors the homeowner’s Scandinavian roots. I love how the spectacular views across the meadows to the mountains beyond are visible during every season.
