Shop Sink-Drain Filter
Keep your shop sink clog-free from here on out.
I used to clog my sink drain whenever I emptied my shop vac’s wet refuse into it. To remedy this, I began by cutting two 5-gal. buckets to make a filter (drawings below). I cut the first one to 5 in. long and the second one to 7 in. long.
That gave me 11⁄2 in. of overlap for a glue joint.
After applying plenty of construction adhesive, I inserted a piece of window screen, brought the two parts together, and cut away the screen outside the circle. Now I can empty my wet debris into the sink and dispose of it once it has dried.
