As I write this blog post, the northeast United States is experiencing what most of us hope is our last winter blast, another Nor’easter. While many hardy New Englanders enjoy winter and make the most of the snow, the rest of us just endure it and look forward to spring, soft ground, and green grass. This young Newcastle, Maine, family is doing the former, out with the dog and kids to enjoy a frosty walk and ski in the snow. The historic homes lining the street in this classic neighborhood have survived many storms over the years, reminding us of the importance of building well so that our homes withstand the inevitable storms that will come. Now, c’mon Spring!
