One unique way to add a level to your house is to do it with steel! I’d never seen this before until I shot this home for EDGE Design Build of Seattle. The whole house was gutted and reframed with the large exposed steel beams. It now presents a beautiful and modern open feel, and the steel also made the house incredibly strong.
