New Snap-Together Decking System Debuts

New decking and fastener design makes decking a snap.

JLC Live, a construction industry event focused on residential building, is now underway, running March 23 to 25 in Providence’s Rhode Island Convention Center. At the trade show and conference, one wood dealer,  DMG Timber Merchants of Cape Neddick, Maine, is displaying an innovative decking system that incorporates what are, essentially, snap-together fasteners.

This system might be the next top choice in hidden deck fasteners. For examples of hidden deck fasteners, check out Deck Mates and HIDfast. Hidden deck fasteners are obviously a desirable option and this new system may take off.

deck 3deck 2The decking material has a T-shaped grove milled into it. When placed over the plastic-composite retainer, the decking slides and locks into place.
