Sometimes spring in the Northeast can be quite gray with many days of rain. When the temperature goes above 60 degrees, the wetness and warmth create a lush landscape. Nooks with big windows like this one are great places to enjoy the spring countryside and any season. This is a favorite old photo taken of a first-floor guest bedroom. Many salvage items had been used in the renovation, including the wood used for the walls. I would love to wake up here on this rainy Saturday morning in Vermont and grab my coffee and a good book to stay awhile.
