Modern Lakeside Kitchen
Thanks to an enthusiastic customer, the architect for this project went with brighter-than-usual colors.
This eclectic and modern kitchen, located on the edge of a lake, is highlighted by its bright color scheme and beautiful handmade components. The Thinkglass island countertop was kiln fused in Montreal, and the custom cabinets were done partially with a painted finish and partially with a laminate finish. The kitchen floor is a combination of varied handmade concrete tiles and a stained Vermont ash flooring. The glass tile backsplash was made by Nemo, and sits over a custom made, concrete counter with a beautiful grey finish. The hand rails are painted steel, and juxtapose the colorful island in order to create a modern and bright space. The architect who designed the kitchen is usually more restrained with color, but loved following her clients’ lead in order to create a lively interior.
