It was such a nice surprise shooting our very last photo of the day at dusk realizing that the campfire made by the homeowners created a beautiful glow everywhere. The window of time for the dusk shot is very narrow so I was a little nervous we would interrupt some valuable family time after having been in their home all day photographing it. Everything worked out, and I loved that we got the family in the image roasting marshmallows together. The corrugated rusted steel facing the fire has such an interesting texture and warmth to it that juxtaposes the lighter toned, south facing siding of Eastern white cedar shiplap boards.
