Living on the Lake
This home's mahogany deck features a cable railing on the upper level.
This newly constructed Vermont Vernacular home has stunning westerly views of Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains. Mahogany was used for the decks with a cable railing on the upper level. Other materials used were white cedar shingles and Marvin Ultimate windows. The water levels are a little higher this year so we ventured out into the lake to get this shot. I had extra hands and help to be SURE none of my equipment got wet! The glow of the lights in the water is magical. We shot this home last summer and it was so nice to see the homeowners again, meet their son visiting for a few days and snuggle a bit with their 18 year old sweet dog, Derek.
