California Pool House Hearkens Back to Local Rural Barn Architecture

By utilizing traditional board and batten siding and exposed beams in this elegant pool house, the architect speaks to the rural barn structures found in Sonoma County. The balance comes in the modern luxury of a kitchen that opens with sliding glass doors that retract into the walls on three sides. The upstairs 400 square foot “patio” with up-lighting on the beams seems to float in the evening sky.
