Architectural Detail Echoed in Kitchen Counter Design

Builders (and photographers) tend to find inspiration even where it is not obvious.

Photographing an elegant detail in a kitchen, I kept thinking about a Walker Evans image that I had seen earlier in the week. Although at first glance they might seem unrelated, in my minds eye the images speak to each other in a purely formal way. The screen shot shows the program (CaptureOne) that I use to shoot with and process my images. Walker Evans photographs have been an inspiration to me for over 25 years.
