Several years ago I was assigned to photographed an apartment in New York City. In the apartment was this incredible armchair created by Carlo Bugatti, the great Italian furniture designer who lived from 1856-1940. Unique and imaginative in its design, with mother of pearl inlay work, brass, and ebonized wood, the chair is just one of many Bugatti masterpieces that set him apart. His sons also made names for themselves in the world of design, but in different venues. Rembrandt Bugatti was a sculptor and Ettore Bugatti formed the famous race-car company that bears his name.
