The Simple Pleasures of an Outdoor Tub
"Back to nature" can definitely include a hot bath!
On a recent trip to Joshua Tree National Park, we stayed in a cottage that had a claw-foot tub outside the back door. Very few things make me happier than to sit in a warm bath on a cool day and read. Often the plumbing/construction and fixtures on outdoor tub are quite simple. Exposed copper pipes (with clean solder joints) are the norm. Making sure the tub or shower drains away from the house is crucial; this can be accomplished by connecting the drain into the main sewer line or by simply sloping the floor plane away from the building.
