Hose-Free Hitachi Framer
Powered by an 18v battery, this new nailer is great for quick jobs and high work.
Hitachi’s NR1890DR framing nailer uses an 18v battery and brushless motor to charge a permanently-sealed compressed air canister that drives the nail. Available in versions for both paper and plastic-collated nails, this cordless nailer features an adjustable depth of drive, a substantial rafter hook, and a control panel to select different modes for sequential or rapid nailing. It’s particularly useful for punch-out work and remodeling, where it can save considerable setup time. In this episode of Tool Tech, host Patrick McCombe explains the Hitachi framer’s features and gives it a test drive with 3-1/2 in. nails.
