This three-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bath home’s many features include timber accents with Black Locust posts throughout, custom niches for the homeowners’ grandfather clocks, a curly maple powder-room vanity, tongue-and-groove ceilings, character-grade white-oak floors, custom textured walls and ceilings, cantilevered decks with timber structural accents, silent bathroom fans, KitchenAid appliances, a sealed crawlspace and attic for maximum energy efficiency, two wood-burning stoves with a ducted electric blower to heat the home, a tankless water heater, board-and-batten siding with poplar bark accents, hip roof accents, and a two-car garage with a covered breezeway. Sustainable and recycled materials were sourced within a 500-mile radius. Many of the timbers used were reclaimed from the homeowners’ land.
