This cozy outdoor living space is surrounded by a hedge, wooden latticework, perennials and lilacs to provide privacy in a close-knit neighborhood. This backyard space is included in a new book, New Landscaping Ideas that Work by Julie Moir Messervy. The white chairs in the image were designed and built by George Zavis who also designed the space and did the installation.
