This attractive built-in breakfast nook is a good example of keeping something simple while retaining an overall sense of good design. Created by Hutker Architects, the house is on Martha’s Vineyard, an island with some of the most beautifully designed houses you’ll find anywhere. The Vineyard has its own style, combining good design and outstanding craftsmanship, as is illustrated in this simple nook. The skillful use of exposed wood is part of the “Vineyard Style,” as is clean and vigorous architectural vision and artistic use of landscape design.
