Mid-Century Modern Kitchen
The space is light-filled and connected to the outdoors with easy access to the backyard through a paned glass door.
The original kitchen was dark, small and separate from the other rooms in the house. The homeowners (who work in a cutting-edge, creative industry) were inspired by mid-century modern style, and worked closely with the design team to create a dynamic and open floor plan. The space is light-filled and connected to the outdoor spaces with easy access to the backyard through a paned glass door. The house is located high up in a hillside, historic neighborhood where expansive views of the lake and mountains can be enjoyed from the kitchen and dining areas. The clean simplicity of this renovated space, combined with local quarried marble, carefully chosen appliances and modern furniture, create an inviting atmosphere for entertaining that reflects the creative nature of the homeowners.
