The kitchen featured was once the family room in this historic home built in the early part of the 20th century. With direct access to the backyard and location central to the main living spaces, the goal was to relocate the kitchen to be more in line with how we live today. The clients felt strongly about maintaining the historic character of the home while bringing in a modern feel to the renovation. The contemporary concept was highlighted through the addition of lots of glass, exposed steel, flush panel cabinets made of quarter sawn white oak, and minimal trim.
