Reimagined Home Library
A mix of natural materials, expansive windows, and modern lighting make this reading nook a cozy corner to relax with a good book.
With diode LED lighting and white oak, this small in home library was simplified to become a charming reading nook. The ladder adds to the charm, but was debated in the process whether or not to include it. The ladder won in the end! The lighting creates a stunning glow in the room any time of day. There is a beautiful view out to a lake through the glass doors along with an old world, stone fireplace. Many local craftspeople created and built this destination room for any time of day.
This reading nook is featured in the Fine Homebuilding article, “LEDs Offer Flexibility for Home Lighting Design“.
