WHAT IS #KEEPCRAFTALIVE ?
#KeepCraftAlive is an initiative powered by Fine Homebuilding to bring awareness to the skills gap in the building industry, the disparity between the employment demands of a growing housing industry and the shortage of trained, qualified labor. The #KeepCraftAlive hats and T-shirts celebrate the value of true craftsmanship in all trades and will help influence the cultural narrative about what it means to be a respected, successful professional. A portion of the profits from sales will go to the SkillsUSA and Fine Homebuilding #KeepCraftAlive Scholarship Fund, which provided a total of $70,000 in scholarship money for the 2018-19 academic year and $25,000 for the 2017-18 academic year to SkillsUSA members.
