Tighten Loose Screws
A wooden chopstick makes a handy plug for a stripped-out screw hole.
Save those wooden or bamboo chopsticks from your next Chinese takeout meal. Why, you ask? Have you ever found yourself having to fill a stripped-out screw hole? The best way to plug it is with a chopstick, which has a fine grain and is easy to whittle to the right diameter using a utility knife. Wipe some wood glue on the stick, hammer it into the screw hole, snap it off, and run in the screw.
