Not-So-Sticky Fingers
Protect your fingers from sealant using this common household item.
Acoustic sealant never dries by design, and it seems there is always some around the bottom of the tube even if the tube is opened brand new. Whenever I handle one, I inevitably get sealant on my fingers, and it’s messy and difficult to remove from skin. I solve the problem by wrapping the bottom of the tubes with a 3-in.-wide piece of stretch wrap. The plastic wrap is easy to apply and remove. No more sticky and messy fingers.
