Throughout Fine Homebuilding‘s history, we’ve published hundreds of methods, tools, and jigs that our readers have devised to get things done in our Tips and Techniques department, both in print and online. To celebrate our 40-year anniversary, we want you and the rest of our audience to take the tips you’ve tried and found most helpful on your own construction projects and bring them to life by making videos of the techniques in action.

The contest runs from January 18 to July 16, 2021

How to enter:

Record yourself demonstrating a tip you learned in Fine Homebuilding, or a tip of your own, and upload your video to Facebook or Instagram for a chance to win. Be sure to tag #FHBTips40 on your post to be considered in the running.

Prizes:

The first prize winner will be chosen from our editors’ favorite tip video and will win a Makita 18-Volt LXT Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless Compact Router Starter kit.

Two other winners will be selected to win a Keep Craft Alive t-shirt.
