2nd Annual Wall-Assembly Contest Finals
Watch the final two rounds of this year's student-only Wall Assembly Sweet 16 competition, plus several building-science experts share their knowledge.
This Championship episode of the Students-Only tournament will feature energy modeling from Enrico Bonilauri and carbon analysis from Chris Magwood to add to the ample expertise of the judging panel to determine our winner. Students from all over North America in various climate zones and disciplines have prepared wall sections and specifications to represent their ideal wall assemblies for performance, buildability, durability, embodied carbon, cost and life cycle analysis.
Building-science experts, educators, and industry professionals Christine Williamson, Ben Bogie, Mike Guertin, Emily Mottram, Matt Blomquist, Jake Bruton, and Steve Baczek have scored these assemblies numerically based on those criteria and will be sharing their comments with the students to help them along there way in their future careers. Through audience voting and judges scoring we’ll crown a champion who’s prizes total $1,200 cash and thousands more in education, materials and instruction for their school or program.
