Measuring Tools For Pin-Point Accuracy
STABILA announces new additions to its line of tapes and levels.
Measuring tools such as spirit levels and measuring tapes are a must for accuracy when it comes to any building and remodeling project, whether its leveling long pieces of lumber or measuring trimwork around windows or doors. STABILA, a manufacturer of branded measuring tools, recently released a number of products that include open-reel and closed tape measures, a new line of pocket tapes, and new spirit level sets.
LBM 1000 open reel tape
STABILA’s LBM 1000 open reel tape can measure distances of up to 330 ft. The LBM 1000 features a steel blade that comes in lengths of 165 ft. and 330 ft. and includes a hand crank that can be adjusted for right- or left-handed use. The 165-ft. version has a price tag of $70, while the 33o-ft. version is $90.
LBM 2000 closed case tape
The LBM 2000 is a closed case tape that features a steel blade, comes equipped in lengths of 66 ft. and 100 ft. and implements what STABILA claims is an ergonomically shaped casing to sit securely in your hand. Both models come with imperial- or metric- scale options. The 66-ft. is $25, while the 100 ft. is $35.
BM 100 pocket tape
The BM 100 is constructed with shatter-proof ABS housing with shock-absorbent grip casings. This model includes a brake button that enables actuation of the push brake to stop and lock the blade. The 10-ft. pocket tape comes in at $10, while the 16-ft. and 26-ft. versions are $15 and $20 respectively.
BM 300 pocket tape
The BM 300 pocket tape incorporates shatterproof PC/ABS housing with shock-absorbent soft-grip casing and nylon-wrap coating. This tape measure has a standout of over 10 ft. and features a clip to allow you to attach it to your belt. The 16 ft. is priced at $20, while the 26 ft. iteration is $25.
80 AS and 80 ASM spirit level sets
The new PRO SET 80 AS-2 and 80 ASM-2 from STABILA are two new spirit level sets that include evels in 12-in., 24-in., and 48-in. lengths. According to STABILA, the 80 AS spirit levels are designed for garden and landscape work, reinforced concrete construction, carpentry, joinery, and tiling. The 80 ASM version implements a magnet system that can be best utilized for metal and drywall construction. You can find the 80 AS-2 set for $130, and the 80 ASM-2 set for $150.
