Extension Ladder to Enhance Safety at Heights
Werner announced the new Extension Ladder WalkThru, a ladder accessory that allows users to make an ergonomic transition from ladder to roof.
Werner, a producer of job-site fall-protection products, recently announced the new Extension Ladder WalkThru (model X300000). This product is designed to fit on to most Werner ladder profiles and allows workers to make a smooth transition directly from ladder to roof without needing to step to the side.
The WalkThru utilizes a dual-clamping system with four points of contact to the ladder and locks onto the ladder’s side rails without the use of any tools. The WalkThru gives users a 3-ft. extension above the top support for access to an elevated surface. Made from aluminum, Werner says its newest product is 25% lighter than similar products from competitors.
Additionally, Werner also announced a spring-loaded gate accessory (model X30001) that is in the works, which is designed with a spring and mag-lock closure to keep the gate closed.
Both of Werner’s newest products meet compliance standards for OSHA 1910, which applies to most worksites and details general industry safety regulations, and OSHA 1926, which focuses on specific conditions that exist on construction sites.
