Great episode, I enjoyed imagining what it would take to keep a building standing despite pistons shaking it back and forth. It made me wonder if the low-carbon solution of a floating plywood slab (“slabless slab”) would stand up to such forces. I live in a seismic zone D2, and have been hoping to use this carbon-friendly solution, but now I wonder what Thor would say! I’d love to know if anyone has had one engineered to be earthquake “resistant “? Thanks, Adam
