Upgrade Your Window Air Conditioner
This AC unit from July comes with all the fixings for a healthful, functional, and good-looking home.
Window air-conditioning units may not be the first thing we think of when it comes to building modern homes, but the reality is that many people live in apartments, condos, and older homes that require just such a product. Even newer homes have spaces that need a little extra cooling. While AC units serve a necessary function, not too many people are excited at the prospect of getting one set up in the window—they often detract from the indoor aesthetic of a room and take up valuable space for outdoor views.
A game-changing option, however, recently hit the market for double or single-hung windows. The air conditioning unit from July comes with front panel options in six standard colors such as Sunset and Cloud, and three premium finishes such as Linen or Ash Wood, with more coming this year—making this product one that can actually work with the design of a room instead of against it. A clear plexiglass side panel kit is also available, enabling residents to maintain as much of the window view as possible.
July comes in two sizes: the small is 6000 btu for room sizes up to 250 sq. ft. and the medium is 8000 btu for rooms up to 350 sq. ft. What’s notable about the medium size is that it uses R32 as a refrigerant, which produces less emissions than other common air-conditioning units. July comes with a standard washable filter and additional filters can be purchased for increased air purification.
A small July starts at $479 while a medium starts at $529. Units sell out quickly, but you can reserve one now for just $50. It’s fully refundable anytime before delivery and there is a 30-day trial to make sure it’s right. Trade professionals can apply for the July Trade Program to receive discounts on orders.
