Trimming Your Trim Nails
If you need shorter trim nails than the ones you have, cut them to size with an old pair of snips.
If you find yourself in need of shorter-length brads or finish nails to wrap up a project, try this tip before you make that trip to the home center. Make a mark on a row of longer brads to the required length, and use a pair of snips to cut them to size. I recommend using old snips, not your best pair. Some nailers may be more finicky about this than others, but I’ve never had any misfires using this trick.
