Pullout Dining Table
Host a dinner party in a small space with this integrated cabinet and table.
In small homes, a dining table is often sacrificed for the sake of space. Meals are taken at kitchen counters, around the coffee table, or at a small bistro table tucked into a corner. This is a challenge if you live in a small space and like to have friends and family over for meals. Workarounds include banquettes or tables that fold down from the wall, but these features often need to be custom, making them expensive and less adaptable to switching up a room or moving altogether.
The Modern Extendable Dining Table With Storage available at Homary solves both an aesthetic and a functional problem by integrating a pullout dining table into a compact and beautiful storage cabinet that feels custom. This subtle but elegant cabinet stands at 29.5 in. high and 32.3 in. wide and has a top shelf for displaying decor, two middle shelves whose contents can be concealed with partially transparent fluted glass, and an open bottom shelf.
It’s at this bottom level that the table pulls out via metal extension slides that attach to the end legs. As many as four leaves are then placed on top, creating a dining surface that is up to 70.9 in. long and seats up to six people comfortably. When not in use, the slides fold up accordion style, and the leaves, which store neatly at the bottom of the cabinet, look like an architectural feature instead of a storage afterthought.
This unit, which is made from MDF and metal, is available in a light natural color or in walnut and gray. It doesn’t come assembled, so you’ll need to do that yourself, but there is a step-by-step video on the Homary website for assistance.
At the time of writing, pricing starts at $530.
